Instructions for replacing the Manduca First/XT shoulder strap buckle:
Always replace the entire shoulder strap buckle, even if only one side is broken. The female part (plug) must be threaded onto the shoulder strap and the male part (socket) onto the hip belt end of the Manduca shoulder straps. We recommend taking a photo of both buckles before unthreading them. This way you can check whether the strap is actually threaded correctly. First, pull the shoulder straps tight. Now hold the buckle firmly and push only the end of the strap through the buckle, creating a large loop at the buckle. Then place the sewn end of the strap onto the harness and press both firmly together into the slot. Pull the strap through the slot (do not push!). The thickly stitched strap ends provide additional security, ensuring that the strap cannot slide through the buckle on its own, even if it is overlapped.
Safety note:
To ensure safety, defective Manduca buckles may only be replaced with original ones.
